2010 HUMMER H3

2010 HUMMER H3

Optional for the 2010 HUMMER H3 is a 5.3 Liter V8 engine that boasts an impressive 300 horsepower and nearly 320 pound feet of torque. Paired with the 4 speed automatic transmission, the combo can tow an impressive 6,000 pounds with ease. The fuel economy that is characteristic of the 5.3 Liter V8 engine is less than most drivers would like and is estimated to be about 13 miles per gallon in the city and 16 miles per gallon on the highway. However, it is important to realize that a lot of the fuel economy is more of a result of the sheer heaviness of the vehicle and cannot be solely blamed on the engine.

All the Hummer cars originate from a military vehicle - the M998 High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV). Since HMMWV is quite of a hassle to pronounce, the soldiers began to call their vehicles Humvee's. When AM General began to produce similar cars for the civilian market, they used the name Hummer. Today, Hummer is a protected name owned by General Motors. AM General sold the name to General Motors in 1999, but continued to manufacture the Hummer, while General Motors became responsible for selling the vehicles on the market.

Fierceness is what the Hummer is all about. This vehicle is for people like you who dare to catch other's fleeting look. Its engine power hoax will make other vehicles even smaller because the moment you rev up your Hummer, you will suddenly be transported in a desolate place in a jungle where mad lions growl like a king.
